The 2026 Roller Coaster Competition
The 2026 Roller Coaster Competition will be held on Wednesday April 29, 2026. Both High School student teams and Middle School student teams may participate. The Rube Goldberg challenge is X-Marks the Spot!

Younger participants are encouraged to view the Roller Coaster Promotional Video.
All students participating in the competition are required to submit upon arrival a signed copy of the Parental Permission Agreement (ISU Youth Participant and Parental Permission Agreement 2026 (Pending)
The Roller coaster drop-off and parking area will be just to the west of Sukup Hall (labeled 6A on the map). The roller coasters are to be taken to the Sukup Atrium thru the west entrance of Sukup Hall. After unloading the driver of each vehicle will be provided a Visitor Parking Permit that could be used to park in empty parking places in the General Staff Parking area shown in yellow on the Roller Coaster Dropoff and Parking Map. (Lot 10, 11)
A free lunch of Pizza and Soft Drinks or water was provided to participants.
Currently, the Chapter does not have scholarships to award to seniors who participate in the Roller Coaster Competition, attend Iowa State University and enroll in Engineering.
