Howe Hall

HoweHallHowe Hall was built to house engineering teaching and research.  Completed in 1999, the building was dedicated in honor of donors Helen and Stanley Howe. Mr. Howe, a 1946 Iowa State engineering graduate, is chairman emeritus and a board member of HON INDUSTRIES, a manufacturer of office furniture and prefabricated fireplace units. The Howe’s gift of $6 million plus an additional $1 million in furniture from HON INDUSTRIES was instrumental in development of the Engineering Teaching and Research Complex composed of Howe and Hoover Halls. (Stanley Howe was initiated into Tau Beta Pi as a student by Iowa Alpha)
