Catapult Competition

What: Catapult Competition
Where: Contest will be held on the Iowa State University campus in Ames, IA
When: Saturday April 21st, 2012 (during VEISHEA)
Who: Teams of 4-8 high school students and at least one teacher/parent advisor
Why: To involve high school students in a fun engineering project that includes designing, building, and analyzing a catapult, along with many EXPLODING eggs!

Please fill out the online form to register your team for this year's Catapult Competition, to be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  The competition is free to register for, however, if you would like a t-shirt, the cost is $10/person. If your team has an adult sponsor or advisor, they may also purchase a t-shirt for $10 but it is not required.  Please mail in the total amount of money for your team to the following address (make checks payable to Iowa Alpha Chapter, Tau Beta Pi):

The t-shirt order deadline is April 2, 2012.  Please postmark your payment no later than this date. 

The registration deadline is Friday April 14th, 2012. Please complete the online form.  Thank you very much for participating!  We look forward to seeing you at the competition.

High school seniors who participate in the catapult competition and enroll to attend Iowa State University to study engineering Fall semester 2012 are eligible to fill out the scholarship application listed below to be considered for a $500 scholarship!!  The deadline for submission is April 30th, 2012.
