Sukup Hall and Atrium

Sukup HallSukup Hall and Atrium together with Elings Hall is home to the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering. Sukup Hall and Atrium are named in honor of the Sukup family of Sheffield, Iowa. Eugene and Mary Sukup founded Sukup Manufacturing, the world’s largest family-owned manufacturer of grain bins and drying equipment in 1963. Eugene and Mary Sukup received honorary ISU degrees in 2010. Charles Sukup,  Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in agricultural engineering from ISU.  Steven Sukup, President and Chief Executive Officer, earned an ISU degree in industrial engineering. (The following members of the Sukup family are Tau Beta Pi members: Eugene G. Sukup,  was initiated by Iowa Alpha as an Eminent Engineer in 2010; Charles E. Sukup was initiated by Iowa Alpha as a student in 1976; Jonathan H. Sukup, was initiated by Iowa Alpha as a student in 2012)
